HOW IT WORKS
How AIM grading works
Six steps, at your chosen speed. Here's exactly what happens to your cards.
01STEPS
- 01
Submit online
Create an account, add each card (set, number, name and declared value) and pay by card. You'll get an order number and a packing slip.
- 02
Pack your cards
Put each card in a penny sleeve, then a semi-rigid holder. Stack the holders between two pieces of cardboard, then place them in a small box or rigid mailer with your packing slip.
- 03
Ship to AIM
Mail your package to the address on your packing slip with tracking. We recommend insuring it for your total declared value.
- 04
Received and imaged
We log your package the moment it arrives and capture high-resolution front and back images of every card.
- 05
Measured and confirmed
AI measures centering, corners, edges and surface. A trained grader reviews every measurement and confirms the final grade.
- 06
Sealed, recorded, shipped
Your card is sealed in an AIM slab with its own NFC chip, its certificate is written to the public record, and your order ships back via Canada Post Expedited with tracking and signature on delivery. Insurance is available at checkout.
02SAME DAY
What "same day" means
- With Same day service ($20 CAD per card), packages received by 11:00 AM Pacific on a business day are graded and shipped back that day. Later arrivals ship the next business day.
- Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding BC statutory holidays.
- Saver ($15 CAD per card) ships within 5 business days of receipt. For orders over 50 cards, contact us before ordering.
- We email you the moment your package is scanned in, with your ship-back date.
03PACKING
Packing checklist
Do
one card per penny sleeve, then a semi-rigid holder. Include your packing slip. Use a tracked service.
Don't
use screw-down holders, tape sleeves shut, use rubber bands on cards, or send more than 50 cards in one package.
04SHIP-TO
Where to send your cards
Your ship-to address is printed on your packing slip after checkout. Send your cards using Canada Post only. AIM is mail-in only for now; we can't accept drop-offs.
