01POLICY

  1. 01Our agreement. These terms govern services provided by AIM Grading Lab Ltd., operating as AIM Grading Lab. Read them together with our Privacy, Grade Review, and Shipping and Insurance policies before submitting cards. Effective date: [[LEGAL EFFECTIVE DATE]]. Contact: info@aimgrading.com.
  2. 02Eligibility and ownership. We accept mail-in submissions from Canadian addresses only. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement and own the cards or have the owner’s permission to submit them. Do not send stolen, unlawfully acquired, or prohibited items.
  3. 03Strict value limit. We only accept cards with a fair market value of $1,000 CAD or less per card at submission. Declare each card’s value honestly, supported where possible by comparable recent sales. Do not understate a value to meet the limit. The limit is per card, not per order, and declaring a value does not constitute an appraisal or an agreement to pay that amount.
  4. 04Cards above the limit. Do not ship any card worth more than $1,000 CAD. We do not offer an exception or high-value service. If we reasonably believe a card exceeds the cap, using ALT ungraded-card values as a reference, we will pause processing and contact you. We will confirm any return shipping and handling costs with you before arranging its return without grading. Nothing in this provision removes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  5. 05Services and scope. We grade standard-size Pokémon and other trading card game cards, and modern sports cards from 1980 onward. Vintage, thick, patch, and oversized cards are outside our current scope. AI measurements are reviewed by a trained grader. A grade is a professional opinion under our published standards, not a promise of resale value or of another grader’s assessment.
  6. 06Price and payment. Same day costs $20 CAD per card; Saver costs $15 CAD per card. Canadian return shipping is $19.99 CAD per order up to 50 slabs, plus optional insurance of $5 CAD per card declared above $250 CAD and applicable taxes. You pay inbound shipping. The final total and applicable policies must be shown before payment. No undisclosed fee is authorised by these draft terms.
  7. 07Cancellation and refunds. Request cancellation by emailing info@aimgrading.com. If you cancel before mailing your cards, we refund your payment in full. If your cards are already in transit but you request cancellation before we receive them, we return them without grading and charge only the return-shipment costs; other prepaid charges are refunded. Once we receive your cards, cancellation is not available under this policy. This does not limit cancellation rights or remedies required by applicable law.
  8. 08Ungradable cards. Altered, non-authentic and out-of-scope cards are returned in a protective holder with an explanation. We charge only return-shipment costs for cards we cannot grade and refund their prepaid grading fees. Fees for other cards that are graded in the same order still apply.
  9. 09Service speeds. With Same day service, eligible packages scanned in at the lab by 11:00 AM Pacific on a business day are scheduled to be graded and shipped back that day. Later arrivals ship the next business day. Saver ships within 5 business days of receipt. Business days exclude weekends and BC statutory holidays. For orders over 50 cards, contact us before ordering. Transit time is separate. We will notify you of delays caused by incomplete information, authenticity concerns, service interruptions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
  10. 10Grading and review. We may decline to assign a grade where authenticity, alteration, or eligibility cannot be established. You may request one free grade-review assessment per card within 30 days of the grade date under our Grade Review policy. You pay inbound and return shipping and $15 CAD for reslabbing when required. Review does not promise a higher grade.
  11. 11Liability and claims. We will exercise reasonable care while handling your cards. A claimed loss requires supporting evidence and is not automatically valued at the declared amount. [[Counsel-approved liability limits and in-lab insurance terms]]. We do not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or obligations that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. Your statutory rights remain intact.
  12. 12Payments and disputes. Contact info@aimgrading.com promptly if a charge or service appears incorrect. We will investigate and seek a reasonable resolution. Nothing here prevents you from exercising lawful card-payment dispute rights or seeking remedies available under consumer protection law.
  13. 13Governing law and changes. Subject to mandatory consumer rights and jurisdiction rules that apply to you, these terms are governed by British Columbia law and applicable Canadian federal law. Material changes apply prospectively; the terms accepted for an existing order continue to govern that order unless a lawful change is agreed. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
