Grade review policy

01POLICY

  1. 01Review window. One free grade-review assessment is available per card within 30 days of the grade date. Request it through your order dashboard or by emailing info@aimgrading.com with your certificate number, order reference if available, and the reason for the request. Do not mail a card back until we provide instructions.
  2. 02Value and eligibility. We only handle cards valued at $1,000 CAD or less per card. This also applies to review returns. If your card is now worth more than $1,000 CAD, do not ship it; contact us to discuss the concern without sending the card. No high-value handling exception is offered. This does not limit statutory remedies.
  3. 03Condition and custody. Return the card in its original intact AIM slab, packed and tracked as instructed. Tell us about any damage, tampering, or change in condition since grading. Such changes may affect whether the original grade can be reviewed; we will explain our findings rather than assume responsibility or deny a request automatically.
  4. 04Independent review. A second trained grader re-checks the card without seeing the original grade. The review considers the published standards, card condition, images and measurements. It does not guarantee an increase or a match to another grading company’s opinion.
  5. 05Outcomes and turnaround. Reviews are completed within five business days after we receive the card. The grade may be upheld or revised upward or downward. We will explain the result. If revised, the card is resealed with an updated label and the correction is added to the public record once ledger recording is available; the previous history is not erased.
  6. 06Fees and shipping. The assessment is free within the review window. You pay inbound and return shipping, whether the grade changes or stays the same. Reslabbing, when required, costs $15 CAD per card plus applicable taxes. Review submissions follow the same packing, tracking, return-shipping and insurance arrangements as a new submission. Obtain written instructions and a breakdown of applicable costs before shipping; no reslabbing charge applies merely for requesting an assessment. Nothing in this policy removes remedies required by applicable law.
  7. 07Further concerns. Contact info@aimgrading.com if you believe the review contains an error. This policy is an additional service and does not remove rights or remedies available under applicable law.
